What our data engineering team does
- We work with different customers in sectors such as finance, e-commerce and mobility, mostly in Nordics and Western Europe
- We help customers figure out their data architecture
- We set up data warehouses, ETL/ELT processes and do business analytics
- We work with both on-premises and cloud solutions. This means using tools ranging from MS SQL to Snowflake and Databricks
- We have taken a technology agnostic approach to different challenges
- We’re a friendly team of international specialists who help and mentor each other
As a Team Lead You will be
- Responsible for managing and growing the data engineering team
- Making decisions on how to tweak and expand our offering
- Planning technical resources, competences, licenses etc necessary for providing main service
- Planning and managing team’s time and capacity resources
- Managing your people: motivation, personal development and training planning for all team members. Helping with recruitments if needed
- Responsible for team communication: regular team meetings, 1-1 talks, broader development talks etc
- Responsible for financial planning (and budgeting) of the team, incl. monthly billing and reporting
- Helping Business Unit Leaders (BUL) in client/sales negotiations, drafting commercial offers, service descriptions etc
- Managing service contracts with customers, vendors and partners
- Consulting customers on different solutions
- Doing technical project work (as much as competences and time allow)
Requirements
- Deep interest in data engineering and related domains
- Experience in working as a data engineer / data analyst / BI analyst or similar
- Experience in leading a (project) team either formally or informally
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Excellent English both written and spoken. Knowing Estonian is a big plus.
- Willingness to spend some time doing technical project work (as a consultant, architect or similar)
