Job Description

We are the Global CleanTech100 company and European market leader in ultracapacitors and graphene-based energy-storage systems. Skeleton has grown from 4 people to over 250 and has raised 200 million EUR financing to scale up manufacturing and execute the ambitious technology road map from high energy ultracapacitors to Superbatteries.

Skeleton Technologies is already successfully delivering products to leading customers ranging from Škoda, Danfoss, Medcom, and Wrightbus to leading German Automotives and European Space Agency. The company's current ultracapacitors have the highest power density in the market and the technology is mature evidence by strong customer contracts and IATF 16949 automotive certification.

But we have achieved only 0.1% of our potential. In order to achieve the 99.9%, we are hiring an experienced Software Development Team Lead who truly believes that the world needs Special Forces to fight climate change and reduce CO2 emissions. The software development team is divided into two: Base development and application development, both teams have a separate lead. Additionally, to embedded programming, there is also a need for PLC programming if needed by the project. Your goal in the position is to ensure that a sufficient workforce is available to reach the set goals (Supporting the hiring of new engineers). Team development to meet required software quality and new software tool selection and implementations if needed.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for team development.
  • Streamlining and improving internal tools used.
  • Streamlining and improving internal processes and making sure that the set processes are followed.
  • Have a sufficient understanding of product and project requirements to support planning activities and estimations.
  • If needed support team for requirement breakdown.
  • Knowledge of automotive-specific standards (ISO 26262, Autosar, etc.).
  • Familiar with automotive SPICE.
  • Use and plan company equipment and resources wisely.

Requirements

  • At least a BSc degree in an engineering field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in software development for the Automotive industry.
  • Previous team leading experience - naturally takes the lead in activities to achieve the required results.
  • Experience with resource management: Effort and cost.
  • Clear open communication, good time management, and the ability to work in a stressful environment.
  • Previous experience with ISO 26262 or similar.
  • Previous experience with SPICE.
  • Good analytical skills to solve problems, good self-management and willing to take challenges.
  • Good verbal and written English is required.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience with Scrum and associated IT tools (f.ex. Jira).
  • Basic understanding of energy storage systems.
  • Experience in working with technical requirements and standards.
  • Good conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience with SVN.
