Compliance Officer

The compliance officer is responsible for cross-functional compliance operations - AML, fraud prevention, and global KYC and KYT. Responsible for development and implementation of operational compliance processes, supporting the company’s growth and scaling of the related functions. Helps to identify and mitigate AML risks across the business, while promoting a proactive compliance culture in close cooperation with product development and other operational functions.

To comply with the lawful instructions of the Board and implement and manage an effective legal compliance program:

• Create and maintain company’s frameworks, policies and documentation and play a lead role in regulatory audits
• Advise management on the company’s compliance with the AML laws and regulations through detailed reports
• Be involved in reviewing and assessing company existing and new product proposals and analyzing AML risk and compliance issues relating to these products
• Regularly audit company AML procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risk
• Conduct reviews of client account and transaction activity, statements, and client profile information
• Conduct regulatory and sanction screenings as well as review complex periodic processes
• Ensure all employees are educated on the latest AML regulatory requirements and risk-based processes
• Resolve employee concerns about AML compliance
• Other one-time tasks related to the job which are not described in job description

Requirements

• Understanding and a good awareness of regulatory requirements within the AML/compliance sector
• Legal background and financial services knowledge, preferably gained in a regulated environment
• Keep up to date the knowledge of AML and regulatory processes, systems, and procedures
• Fluent communication skills in Estonian and English
• Self-organized, proactive, punctual
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, teamwork skills
